GoFundMe: Best in Crowdfunding App revisa

Tried to create an account with Apple to donate to someone’s emergency & was just getting an error loop both in browser & app. I’d love to give this feedback somewhere more appropriate and hope it gets fixed but all I see online is an AI chatbot and I would bet that will not help.

I find this platform, an awesome way for people who have a hard time asking for help or who just need the extra help and don’t have a way to receive it. This app is about to change my life!

I am still very new to this app, but I am so thankful for the generosity that people have in their heart to help out the less fortunate. Everything happens for a reason I’ve always said that since I was a child and I’m just thankful that I stumbled upon this app. Thanks again for all those generous givers out there.God bless ❤️

My decision to use GoFundMe was to create a channel through which my friends could contribute. I have provided my Social Security Number and state ID to verify my identity, which can be used to report fraud or scams. A volunteer friend helping with the Myanmar earthquake sent me a screenshot of an email that contained the wrong name. GoFundMe has made this process slow and complicated. Please either allow the transfer now or refund the donated money to my friends. I will never use GoFundMe again, and my friends will never use it either.

Stop choosing sides ! Y’all take away karmelo fundraiser but let Austin fundraiser stay . It shows that y’all picked a side . When there should be no side picking at all . I hope y’all fail as a company and I hope GiveSendGo’s thrive hard and achieve all its goals respectfully going to leave negative reviews everywhere I’m allowed 😘.

The mobile app is way too focused on creating a GoFundMe. That can be great, but how do I search for a GoFundMe I want to donate to? Furthermore, the mobile app doesn’t open when clicking a link on a social app - it sends me to the web version which I then have to sign in to. Only to be met with a T&C page that won’t go away. Be better?

I’m so disappointed in the updates part of the app. You cannot write it there. If you do, you’ll lose everything you wrote. There’s no way to save a draft and sometimes it erases everything you’re writing WHILE YOU’RE WRITING IT. Don’t use the app for updates. It will only ruin your day.

Looks like this isn’t the best app. Looks like it will only allow you to start a campaign. You can’t search for a champion if you know of one that is already started.

I have been trying to get my fundraiser going since April 2, 2025. I have had emails back and forth with customer service and the issues are just getting worse. Every time I share my fundraiser, it might show temporarily for a few seconds and then it says fundraiser not found. I have lost count of how many times this has happened. People don’t want to waste their time with me anymore. I am receiving emails to connect my bank for my payouts, but that doesn’t work either. I have gotten four donations and I don’t have access to it. I’m stressed out very much because of this. It shouldn’t be this much of a headache.

Funding criminals should not be a thing or anything for criminals should banned to even do 😠

When people like myself or homeless and they’re trying to come up with a deposit and people are helping, but the deposit is not going to secure the apartment when the funds are tied up in the GoFundMe account. The transfer takes too long. I’ve been living in my truck with my service dog for almost 6 months now. So the hurry up but take your time is killing me.

This app is so useful. Helped me manage my campaign with so much ease.

I love the app. It organizes my gofundme fund that i donate to and if I want to check on them later, they are on my list. They are very diligent in keeping out scams and will shut down a fund and refund the money if everything isn’t up to par.

I’ve used this app twice so far and twice have succeeded in reaching and achieving my goal wonderful app.

How come does this app require updates which relatively new iPad can’t update? Someone with old devices cannot use the app. Better allow to use for old iOS versions if they want more people to use.

I do not think it’s right that GoFundMe is profiting millions from donations for the Los Angeles fire victims (or natural disaster). What about YOUR company donating some of YOUR profits to fire victims instead to making millions from THIER losses? Am I the only one who feels this is wrong? I understand you have some minor overhead costs but taking 17% from the millions raised is just ludicrous! Your company should donate at least SOME of your profits.

I opened account and did am emergency donation for my family in Gaza.. the scam company blocked my account after i received $200 donation so I don’t know who took this money bc they never refund it back to donor not gave me the funds. So I believe this company is not trustworthy beware

But i just need more social media accounts to post it to and i am bit seen enough or strangers just don’t wanna part eith their money and i am frustrated but it has helped us to raise 400 bucks so we wouldn’t evrn have that if not for gofundme

GoFundMe is awesome. The app stinks. No matter what I click, it's only option is to start a new fund. Why is it so hard to find a way to search for fund raisers? I donated for a good friend and the next day I couldn't find a way to check on the progress. It's clunky to do on the website, but it's dumb that you can't access or search for current fund raisers via the app.

What is the newest version it told me to update want let me on this app

So I set up a fundraiser for emergency for my family who lost their house in a hurricane flood so I did this post with GoFundMe and once I received the first donation for $200 support right away past my account blocked and start giving me the runaround. They need more documents. They need more information and takes days and days for them to respond. after all this hassle I give up I just told them to return the transaction donation back to the owner to My Friend and close my account and I have my friend just send me the money with Cash app so I don’t have to worry anyway about the fee they’re gonna deduct for transfer the money.. but people who sign up with it be careful that’s the excuse to hold your money and make you feel miserable before you get it

As of December, 2024 this application is not working and needs troubleshooting. I have raised money for 2 separate charities and I am not able to access my user interface to view my donations. I would have to use a manual browser to determine how much money needs to be sent. Overall the platform is excellent (when it is actually working)

It’s ridiculous you can’t speak to a human to get issues resolved. Obviously the reason I’m doing a GoFundMe is because it’s urgent and in a time of need. The fact they don’t have any way of resolving issues besides with an AI is just beyond ridiculous and frustrating. If you are able to raise money some other way that’s not GoFundMe. Do it. Because if you encounter an issue. You’re screwed.

Is it just me or is this app forcing me to accept cookies? I am trying to sign in via email but I can’t unless I accept the cookies and if I do not press okay on the cookies I can’t see or enter the email for entry

App is terribly slow at updating. Better off just using the webpage on internet explorer

I had a bad experience with this app when I needed help to go see my dad before he went I decided to trust this no hits now’s his gone can’t see him my faith in people really small if u had luck in this good for u

Just another app that is about making money for them. They want more information than they should have, they take a fee, then hold onto the money much longer than necessary so they can use it to make even more money for them-yes-big institutions literally invest and earn $ daily with your money. If you want to donate to someone or something do it directly instead of subsidizing people who are already too rich.

I’ve tried updating the app many times and it never notifies me of any activity nor does it show me any amounts from donors. Basically this app seems useless!

The app is always “broken”. Very rarely can I log in and check on a campaign with ease. I ran a GFM campaign in Dec 2021, Dec 2022 and now and the app is still just as faulty as it was in the beginning.

They’ve now sent almost ten emails telling me to send a picture with both sides of my Id and (today’s) date. I’ve now done this 4 times and they keep sending me more emails telling me to send pictures of my id and (todays) date. I’m irritated to this point that I’m making this report because I can’t recover my dang account! How many more times do I need to do this?

The app has had complications since i started a gofundme first it didn’t let me log on for a couple days and now it’s not letting me edit the story for the gofundme , what’s the reason for this ?

After spending so much time editing, it would not save on my android or iPhone.
